Abstract
In order to develop the subsurface exploration method by means of the
three-dimensional electromagnetic method, we adopted the QL inversion method,
which is based on the quasi-linear approximation of the integral equation
method. The QL inversion method determines the anomalous resistivity of the
volume elements, into which the inversion region set up in the layered earth
is divided.
From the 3D volume data, which is obtained by the 3D inversion, subsurface
distribution of the anomalous resistivity bodies is visualized using the 3D
visualization softwares. As corresponding to the block representation in the
case of 2D cross-section, we report an example of the brick-representation in
the case of 3D problems.
